Obedience Training Classes

Please Note:

• All dogs must have age appropriate vaccines including bordetella.
• Proof of vaccines must be shown before the first class begins.

PUPPY OBEDIENCE - 6 week course

• For puppies under 5 months
• loose leash walking, sit, down, come, stay, leave it, settle, focus
• Behaviour Issues: biting, chewing, elimination training, jumping up, greeting
• Socialization: play with others, handling skills, things that move, noises, and other "unusual scenarios"

INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE - 6 week course

• TESTING BOUNDARIES (over 5 months)
• Obedience Fundamentals: Heel, come, stay, leave it, settle, focus, sit/down/stand with verbal and hand signals
• Beyond the Basics: ignoring distractions, changing pace, distance skills
• Behaviour Issues: barking, jumping up, digging

ADVANCED OBEDIENCE - 6 week course

• TRUST & RELIABILITY
• Obedience Fundamentals: Heel, come, stay, leave it, focus
• Beyond the leash: reliable verbal control, focus amongst distractions, out of sight training
• Focus on Fun and continued opportunities for training: navigating direction changes, moving with obstacles

APPLIED OBEDIENCE

• GENERALIZING SKILLS
• Obedience Fundamentals: Heel, come, stay, leave it, focus
• Outdoor training: recalls in the park, greeting and passing dogs on a walk, traffic respect
• Real world applications: bringing obedience class to your neighborhood
